Blue Card Application/Renewal Process
“There is one body, but it has many parts. But all its many parts make up one body. It is the same with Christ.” 1 Corinthians 12:12

Below are steps and instructions to help you renew or apply for a Blue Card. We would really appreciate your assistance in getting this done promptly. If you have any questions or problems regarding the process, please feel free to contact Caleb or the Eastside Office anytime.
Please keep in mind that there is a NO CARD, NO START policy, which means if you are about to serve in any ministry with children, it is imperative that you complete the below process as soon as possible.
The INSTRUCTIONS button below shows a detailed step-by-step guide (with screenshots) on how to complete the following three steps.
Step 1 – Create a Blue Card Services online account
If you don’t have an online account with Blue Card Services you will first need to register for an account. You can do this by clicking the button below. You will need your driver’s license and prior blue card information (if you have one) for this step.
New Blue Cards now include your QLD driver’s licence photo. In some instances, if the photo on your licence is too old, you may be asked to renew your licence photo, this can be done at your local Department of Transport and Main Roads centre.
If you already have an online account with Blue Card Services you can move on to step 2.
Step 2 – Linking your account to Eastside Community Church’s Blue Card Register
If you haven’t served in a ministry with children at Eastside before, we will need to get some information from you. Once your Blue Card Services account has been created, please email your account number, blue card number and date of birth to Caleb so he can link your account to Eastside’s Blue Card Register.
Step 3 – Renewal / Application
Once you have an account with Blue Card Services and it’s linked to Eastside’s Blue Card Register you can now renew or apply for your blue card through the online portal. You can access the online portal through the button below. You will need your driver’s license and date of birth to log in.
Step 4 – Make sure your Safe Ministry Check information is up-to-date
If you already have a Safe Ministry Check account, you will need to update your Blue Card information, including your card number, expiry date and the photo of your card. If you don’t already have a Safe Ministry Check account Eastside Staff will create one for you once you complete Step 2.
